Do you find it difficult to get to sleep, do you lie there tossing and turning, once you have dropped off do you stay asleep, or do you not even bother going to bed some nights?

Insomnia (an inability to form a regular sleep pattern), affects many thousands of people, for some it is a short term inconvenience, whilst to others it has become a way of life.

Insomnia can be caused by many things, stress, worry, doubt and uncertainty.

It starts off with a sleepless night or two and over time the sufferer begins to believe that they cannot sleep.

They may come to dread the night, lying there unable to get to sleep. This fear then causes them to become anxious and stressed, making it more difficult to sleep. Once this pattern has been established it becomes a self perpetuating problem.

Your sub-conscious mind, the controller of all automatic processes and reactions, becomes more susceptible to suggestion, thus allowing changes to be made at a very deep level enabling you to establish a new sleep pattern, by implanting positive new thought waves, which allow you to believe you can sleep.

Once you learn to quite your mind and allow relaxation to take over, your insomnia will disappear. And should you wake through the night you will very easily go back to sleep.
